Crack users suffer the same long term
health effects as powder cocaine users on the whole, however
another phenomenon - Crack Lung - is only seen in crack
smokers. Crack lung is caused by the inhalation of hot
cocaine smoke into the lungs, which burns the lining. The
anaesthetic effect of cocaine tends to mean that users may
not realise what they are doing.
